Steve Carl is an American mixed martial artist. He competes in the welterweight division. As an Iraq War veteran, Carl competes in MMA while he is home from active duty.

Carl made his professional MMA debut in November 2005. Fighting primarily in small events in Iowa and Texas, and quickly amassed a record of 12 wins and 1 loss over the next five years.
In April 2010, Carl entered into the Bellator Season 2 Welterweight Tournament. He won his quarterfinal match against Brett Cooper by split decision at Bellator 15, but was eliminated by Dan Hornbuckle via submission in the semifinal round at Bellator 19.
Carl entered into the Bellator Season 5 Welterweight Tournament. He fought Douglas Lima in the opening round held at Bellator 49 and lost the fight via unanimous decision.
